New Single
"Benny's Sleepover"
Jay Feelbender is the captivating alt-pop project of Toronto musician Jacob Switzer, known for his ability to fuse high-octane energy with raw emotion. After years of honing his craft with bands like Goodbye Honolulu and Luna Li—and touring alongside acts like Hinds and The Beaches—Jay has carved out a space that’s entirely his own. His live shows across Canada and the U.S. have become legendary for their raucous, unfiltered spirit, and singles like “Disco Disco,” “Angel,” and “Benny’s Sleepover” have already racked up thousands of streams while turning heads at sweaty Toronto gigs. With Gallery of Desire, his debut full-length out this fall via Victory Pool Records, Jay steps into his boldest chapter yet: “My new album Gallery of Desire is the most personal body of work I’ve put together,” he shares. “Each song feels like a little vignette, a snapshot of what it’s like to search for peace, trust, and belonging when everything around you is shifting.”
Produced by Braden Sauder, "Gallery of Desire" captures the full emotional spectrum—playful and adventurous in one breath, raw and cathartic in the next. Jay describes the project as born out of navigating “the deaths of close friends and family, heartbreak, and addiction, but also stumbling into new love and finding glimmers of hope for the future.” These extremes fuel an album that thrives in tension, balancing nostalgia with over-the-top feelings that are impossible to shake. At its core, Gallery of Desire is about desire itself: how it can be both beautiful and destructive, joyful and painful, and how living inside that pull is what ultimately shapes us. The result is Jay’s most intimate and ambitious work to date—an album that feels like both a confessional diary and an open invitation to anyone searching for survival, memory, and belonging.
