New Single
"Fire"
D2UR are a Canadian band who strive to write great modern rock music. John Colburn (bass), David-Sikorski Thorn (guitar), and Stephen Broadhurst (drums) join Mike & Diane Isbister, the founding members of the band. D2UR began writing original songs in 2010 and have two full-length albums: “Rev U Up” and “Tic Toc”. They have just released their new Single ‘Fire’ and have two additional singles set for follow up releases.
Mark Donnelley of Fireworks Magazine, who reviewed our second album states:
“This is one of those independent albums that sounds like a major label release. Don’t give it a second thought or leave it a minute longer; just face the truth, it’s time for you to get your hands on ‘Tic Toc’. Fireworks Issue 80 Oct-Dec 2017
D2UR released three new singles in 2019. Brent Fitz manned the throne to provide some bone crushing beats for the new material. Following in the same rock vein as the album "TIC TOC", all three singles rock your soul. “Wild Ride” is a full tilt classic rocker hell bent and swingin' on the ride. The song twists and turns dangerously while the pedal is through the floor. The Bass pulsates and grooves while the drums pound feverishly. It’s one ride you will want to take over and over till the end. "Where's the Rocket" is an up-tempo rocker about crazy antics and good times. Diane Isbister wails through the wall of guitars, driving bass and thumping drums, as the song drives to a frenzy. Let the good times roll! “Little Sunshine”, originally written in 1992, sat on the shelf until the lyrics resurfaced. The song opens in a haunting dark mood while the vocals spin the tale. The chorus kicks in and unleashes no mercy. It is a rock n’ roll tale of abuse and sadness draped in layers.
D2Ur’s single “Slippin’ Away” is an epitaph of the pandemic, describing our yearning to have things back to the way they used to be and afraid that it is all Slippin’ Away. To achieve the best results possible, the band worked with Juno award-winning producer Murray Pulver. This is the first song that all the band members contributed to, while collaborating through the internet and respecting social distancing. It is a very emotional and lifting song highlighted by great individual musical parts and a rocking vocal delivery by Diane Isbister.
