New Single
"Holy Moly (This Is Who I Am)"

Where stadium rock meets underground punk, that’s where you’ll find Yester Daze.

Size doesn’t matter when it comes to their desire to satisfy hungry rock audiences. Playing in clubs, bars, near or far, Yester Daze deliver larger than life performances, pouring their hearts out and leaving it all on stage. Since their inception, their goal has remained the same: light it up.

Forming in 2018, Montreal-based band Yester Daze is fronted by lead singer Brandon McShad with guitarist Zach Lemay, bassist Marc-Olivier Bourdon and Matt Ware on the drums. Fast friends, in the rehearsal space, the boys quickly recognized their natural chemistry and complementary musical personalities. Taking inspiration from artists like Foo Fighters, Muse, Royal Blood, Billy Talent, Big Wreck, the band works to build off of the high energy and honest lyricism to create resonating infectious anthems. An ode to the past, present and future, Yester Daze have found a unique sound by combining feel-good-grooves and unforgettable melodies alongside high contrast dynamics.

Their debut EP, “Yours to Follow”, showcased the band’s unique style and sound, bridging the gap between heavy riffs and pop melodies. The lead single “Backseat Bingo” did exactly that and drove the boys to heavy rotation across national and international stations.

The band took the next year to focus on expanding while retaining their signature sound. Once again working with Matt Nozetz (Avbury Studios), Dave Traina (The Damn Truth), and Harry Hess, their sophomore EP, “Nothing, Perfectly,” was born. Focusing on frontman Brandon McShad’s mental health and disintegrating relationships, “Nothing, Perfectly” shows a more mature Yester Daze, ready for the next step.

Featuring the breakout single “Holy Moly (This Is Who I am),” a pop punk banger about finding yourself, “Hanging by a Thread,” the heaviest song emotionally and musically, featuring wailing dual vocals from McShad and Lemay, and screaming guitar solos to close the track, and “Going Nowhere,” the closing number reflecting on mental health struggles and delivering a stadium sized chorus to round out the track list.

As if that wasn’t enough, the band managed to produce another driving garage rock tune, “Sheets.” The next dance-along single that encompasses everything we all feel when thinking about revenge.

“Nothing, Perfectly” is a strong follow up from the band. Their lyrics and music combine to form the voice of a generation who’s lost, a generation wanting something better and something new. Hope for tomorrow but remember Yester Daze.
