Merry Xmas You Flithy Animals is modern Christmas anthem for a generation of aging punks who still bleed rock and roll, and are just as disenfranchised as ever.  The blistering 3 minute rock song was inspired as much by Merry Christmas Charlie Brown as it was by the best Christmas song of all times (Fairytale of New York by The Pogues...obviously ).  "There are 40 million songs about the joy of the holidays and only a couple really got the sad right - I wanted to sing about the flipside of Christmas", explains songwriter Don Levandier.   

The phrase Merry Christmas You Filthy Animals is taken from the movie Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, although a similar line is uttered in the first Home Alone movie as well. "When we wrote thetrack, I just kept thinking that someone had to have written a song like this already, but I couldn' t find one anywhere." continues Levandier.

The track marks the first release for The Motorleague since 2022, as well as the first song the band self produced. It was mixed by long time collaboarator and friend Chris Snow (Danko Jones, Monster Truck, Big Wreck), who also worked on the band' s previous material.  The song was mastered by Harry Hess (Billy Talent, BNL)
